Gasolero (hereinafter, the “Provider”) recognises the importance of protecting the privacy and security of its customers’ and users’ personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, protect and manage the personal data of people who access, use or interact with our digital platform, mobile applications, website, support channels and services for checking availability, booking slots, paying online and picking up fuel at affiliated stations.

By registering, using the platform, booking a slot, making a payment or providing personal information, the user accepts the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data controller

The controller of the personal data collected through the platform is:

The Provider determines the purposes and means by which the personal information needed to provide its services is collected and used.

To provide our services we may collect different categories of information, including:

  • Identity document or other identifying information where required, including verifying who a slot belongs to at the station.
  • Date of birth, where necessary.
  • Vehicle details, where the user chooses to register them.

3.2 Contact data

  • Phone number.

  • Information needed to communicate with the customer.

3.3 Data relating to slots, orders and payments

  • Booking and order history.
  • Station, date, time window, fuel type and amount booked.
  • Pickup codes generated (QR and PIN) and their status.
  • Payment information, payment method used and transaction receipts.
  • Reschedules, cancellations and refunds.

The Provider does not store full card numbers. Payments are processed through payment service providers, which handle that data under their own policies and the applicable security standards.

3.4 Technical and usage data

When the user uses the platform we may collect:

  • IP address.
  • Device type.
  • Operating system.
  • Browser information.
  • Date and time of access.
  • Activity logs within the platform.

3.5 Location data

Where necessary to provide the service, we may request location information in order to:

  • Show the nearest stations and how far they are.
  • Sort availability by proximity.
  • Help the user reach the booked station.
  • Improve the user experience.

The user can manage location permissions from their device settings. Denying them does not prevent use of the platform, though it may limit proximity-based search.

4. Purposes of data processing

Gasolero will use the personal data collected for the following purposes:

4.1 Providing the service

  • Creating and managing user accounts.
  • Showing the availability published by the stations.
  • Managing slot bookings and their reschedules.
  • Processing online payments.
  • Generating and validating pickup codes.
  • Tracking orders.

4.2 Security and operational control

  • Verifying users’ identity and who a slot belongs to.
  • Preventing fraud, misuse, slot resale or unauthorised activity.
  • Keeping records of transactions.
  • Ensuring the traceability of orders and dispensing.

4.3 Customer support

  • Answering queries through the chat and the other official channels.
  • Handling complaints.
  • Resolving incidents relating to bookings, payments or dispensing.
  • Providing technical support.

4.4 Communications

With the user’s authorisation, we may send:

  • Booking and payment confirmations.
  • Reminders and notices about the slot.
  • Information about promotions.
  • Service updates.
  • Communications relating to the platform.

Personal data will be processed where:

  • It is necessary to fulfil a booking or provide a service requested by the user.
  • The user has given their consent.
  • It is necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
  • There is a legitimate interest relating to the operation, security and improvement of the service.

Gasolero may share personal information only where necessary to provide the service or comply with obligations.

Data may be shared with:

  • Authorised Gasolero staff.
  • The station where the user booked their slot, limited to what is needed to validate the pickup code and its PIN, and carry out the dispensing.
  • Payment service providers responsible for processing transactions.
  • Technology providers supplying hosting, maintenance, messaging or support services.
  • Public bodies or authorities where there is a legal obligation.

Gasolero will not sell, rent or trade its users’ personal data.

7. Protection and security of information

Gasolero implements technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against:

  • Unauthorised access.
  • Accidental loss.
  • Improper alteration.
  • Unauthorised disclosure.
  • Fraudulent use.

These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, activity logging, database protection and IT security mechanisms.

However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

Personal data will be kept for as long as necessary to:

  • Maintain the commercial relationship with the user.
  • Comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

If the accidental collection of minors’ personal data without the corresponding authorisation is detected, Gasolero may proceed to delete it.
